MELBOURNE, Australia ― Yonex Co., Ltd.(Yonex) is excited to announce our continued partnership with the Australian Open in 2026. This marks our 11th consecutive year as the Official Stringing Partner of the highly anticipated Grand Slam event.
With more than a decade of collaboration between Yonex and the Australian Open, this long-standing partnership reflects Yonex’s continued commitment to quality and innovation in tennis.
Yonex supplies state-of-the-art, Made by Yonex, PRECISION 9.0 stringing machines, providing professional athletes at the Australian Open with equipment which guarantees exceptional accuracy and reliability. Each racquet strung is done so with approximately 12 meters of string, tailored specifically to meet each individual player’s requirements, allowing them to perform at their best.
The Yonex Stringing Team for 2026 will bring together 22 expert stringers from 13 countries. Through years of partnership with the Australian Open, the Yonex Stringing Team has strung approximately 65,000 racquets, with an estimated additional 7,500 to be strung. Using nearly 90 kilometres of string, this extends even further than the distance from Melbourne to Geelong.
While supporting top players requires a significant volume of string, Yonex is equally committed to environmental responsibility. Used racquet strings from tournaments are collected, and recycled materials—including recycled racquet strings—are incorporated into Yonex’s Nature Series apparel range.
Yonex provides ongoing support to professional tennis players throughout the Australian Open, ensuring their racquets are strung to perfection to enable an optimum on-court performance. Notable Team Yonex athletes include Madison Keys, Ben Shelton and Elena Rybakina, who reflect the high standards and performance that Yonex strives to deliver.
