China and Korea Triumph at Thomas & Uber Cup Finals 2026

HORSENS, Denmark— The Thomas & Uber Cup Finals 2026 concluded in Horsens, Denmark, featuring top badminton teams from around the world in one of the sport’s most prestigious events. China claimed the Thomas Cup title, while Korea secured the Uber Cup championship after a series of high-level performances throughout the tournament.

The Thomas & Uber Cup has long showcased the unique excitement of team badminton, with players competing together on one of the sport’s biggest stages.

In the Uber Cup final, Korea demonstrated strong teamwork and consistency across key matches. World No.1 An Se young (KOR) delivered a commanding performance in women’s singles, while Kim Ga Eun (KOR) earned an important victory over Chen Yu Fei (CHN). In the decisive fourth match, Baek Ha Na and Kim Hye Jeong (KOR) prevailed in an intense 85-minute match to secure Korea’s third Uber Cup title.

China secured back-to-back Thomas Cup titles with composed performances throughout the tournament. France, led by Alex Lanier (FRA) and brothers Toma Junior Popov and Christo Popov (FRA), reached the final for the first time after an impressive run that included victories over former champions Indonesia, Japan, and India. In the final, Shi Yuqi (CHN) earned an important opening victory over Popov, as both teams showcased the depth and rising level of international badminton on the world stage.

Throughout the tournament, many athletes competing with Yonex equipment demonstrated skill, resilience, and teamwork across both team and individual matches. The event once again highlighted badminton’s growing global community and the continued evolution of the sport at the highest level.
