CALIFORNIA, USA — Team Yonex’s Hyo Joo Kim (KOR) claimed victory at the LPGA Tour’s Fortinet Founders Cup, held from March 19 to 22 at Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club in California, finishing with a total score of 16-under par to secure her eighth LPGA Tour title.
Opening strong and never letting go, Kim set the tone early and stayed in control all week. Even as conditions tightened in the final round, she remained composed under pressure, finishing at 16-under par to seal the victory.
Using the EZONE GT driver paired with the REXIS KAIZA LIGHT shaft, Kim delivered stable shots that combined both distance and accuracy throughout the tournament. Her performance was highlighted by consistent tee shots that allowed her to maintain control of the course and her scoring pace.
“The course was challenging, and especially the tee shots were very important.” Kim shared. “I focused on my game and did my best.”
Fellow Tam Yonex players also delivered solid performances, with Chisato Iwai finishing tied for 19th and Akie Iwai close behind in a tie for 27th.
Team Yonex players will continue competing on the LPGA Tour throughout the season.
